Thursday Evening Madness

I did a two hour shoot tonight in the "studio" aka Brougher 3(?). I had 7 people show up with hardly any notice and we had fun just messing around and listening to music and telling stories. Then I took photos of Sierra's art pieces- that blog will be this weekend. I'm running on empty but I can never do a shoot and then not put up something... So I did some quick edits and as soon as I'm done posting this my head will soon hit the pillow. Enjoy!

Berho and Avedon

I met Dom through a photography group started in the fall of this school year. He got me hooked on the 50mm f/1.8 and since then I've used it for most of my shoots. His work is amazing and you can check it out here

My current assignment for photo class is an Avedon inspired portrait and "a little person in a big space." I haven't figured out the second- but I finished the Avedon shoot a few hours ago. This is the first time I used studio lights- it's definitely going to take some time to get used to them. I'm a natural light girl at heart.
I can't post any of the black and whites because we haven't had class (prof rule), but I'll post them soon. Here are some of the results:

Some lighting shots before hand:

Enjoy!
