{Engaged: Tony & Kate}

I posted last week a short preview of their save the dates, click here to see them. We had such a great time despite the rainy weather! It was a last minute session but well worth it because the images turned out beautifully! Take a look...

{Engagement: Kate & Tony}

Today I met up with Kate & Tony for a last minute engagement session. This shoot is the last of spring break which means I need to stop denying the pile of homework waiting for me... Anyways!

Kate and Tony are getting married on June 1 and it's going to be such a beautiful wedding from what I heard today! We did a few save the dates photos in the orchards then traveled down to the docks for the rest. They were complete troopers as it was raining most of the time when we were in the orchards and then thank the good Lord it cleared up for a little while! Kate came with lots of ideas that she liked which is quite helpful! I love working with engaged couples- the excitement and love just shines through both people. Can I say this enough- I can't wait for warm weather!!

Here are a few different options for editing style and poses for save the dates and then a couple of sneak peeks!

Tony did such a Great job picking out a Beautiful ring!

{Irina & Joel: Engagement}

I had the privilege of working with Irina and Joel today. Although it was chilly, really chilly, we had a wonderful time! From the back walls of Newberg to a beautiful orchard, we braved the weather and finished within the hour. We had originally planned for a shoot back in November but I ended up in the hospital, and Joel was in Indiana, so we postponed... until now!
It was great to finally meet the two, and they were such a willing and joyful couple to work with. And thank you to Sierra who was my assistant today!
Every time I finish editing, I think to myself- I love my job. This summer is going to be amazing.
Start spreading the word- I'm working full time in Vancouver with photography this summer!

Enjoy!

Valentine's Day Memories

So I did some quick edits of past photographs, some couples and families, ones that I love and think encompass the idea behind "Valentine's Day."

Hopefully you've had a love filled day making memories with the meaningful people in your life.
I'm still booking Valentine's Day couple's sessions, check out the info here, I'll be in Vancouver this weekend. Then the last weekend I'll be in the Canby/Salem area on Saturday and Vancouver on Sunday.

I know V-Day isn't the easiest for some, today definitely hasn't been a stellar day for myself, but a friend posted this on Facebook and I think it's worthy of being said again: "To all those that are really struggling this holiday due to relationships or even death, just know that God's love isn't seasonal."  So if that's you may you be comforted by God today and know that tomorrow's another day.

But to those of you who have had a fabulous day, I'm glad, because Valentine's day really should be a happy day if there ever is one in a year. I can't wait to start doing more couple sessions, they're beginning to become some of my favorite shoots. And remember, you don't have to be engaged or married to get some fun couple portraits!

A little bit of fun from a family session this winter.
