{Head Shots and Business Talk}

I posted some head shots on Facebook, but I wanted to post them here as well. Head shots can be the first impression many clients get so it's incredibly important to have a quality portrait that represents who you are and captures your personality. Whether it's for your business, modeling, or the about me section for your blog, head shots are valuable and worth every penny!

Some other news regarding my new logo and business name- it's done! It's taken every inch of my being not to start posting it on all my recent photos but I'm waiting to get my new site up and running before the big "debut." I am so eager to get a better website and blog, this one does wonky things with the colors of my images, and to make the switch to Creo Photography (click here too see an earlier post about the name change). It may be as far away as June but I'm truly hoping to make it happen sooner.

And one last note! I wanted to say thank you to all of you out there who frequent this page and are fans on Facebook. The support and feedback from all of you has been wonderful and so encouraging. Much, if not all, of my work and cliental comes from word of mouth referrals. As summer approaches I am hopeful you keep passing my name on and recommending me to your friends and family. Once I get business card done I will be handing those out to people who would be willing to pass them on. Whether they're looking for a photographer or just thinking about getting photos taken, let them know about my site! I appreciate everything that you guys have done for me thus far and I'm beyond excited to see what the next few months bring!

{Canada: Vancouver & Chilliwack}

I mentioned in my earlier post that I went on a road trip to Canada with some of my friends, stopping in Seattle and then heading up to Canada. It was so much fun and my first time visiting. Vancouver was similar to Portland but very quiet on the day we went- I loved it. I could definitely get used to visiting up there (: Here are my top favorites...

{Seattle: Pike Street Market}

Last weekend me and four of my friends road tripped to Canada and stopped in Seattle for the afternoon. It was downright wonderful (: The weather was perfect, a little chilly, but so sunny! We walked around and just enjoyed being on a "mini vacation." I would love to live in Seattle for a year or two... I've decided I need to travel up there way more often. So here's the first day of our trip, in Seattle. 

{Little Bundle: Baby J}

I went back through the newborn session from last week and decided I needed to re-edit and add some more... So here they are!

Last weekend I was able to meet up with Baby J and his mom Kristin. He was a bit early and stayed in the hospital longer than normal so we had to postpone the session. It really is crucial for newborn sessions that the baby is under 10 days- they sleep heavier and are easier to work with. Baby J was around 16 days and not willing to sleep very much. But you work with whatever they give you! He was so precious and it was lovely spending a few hours with these two. Enjoy!

{Spring, Cherry Blossoms, and More Rain...}

Cherry Blossoms have been blooming for a good 2 or 3 weeks now. One of my favorite times of the year, they are absolutely beautiful! If you want good photographs you have a very small window of time and this year I decided to not procrastinate. Here are a few of the images and I was hoping to get some more but then this thing called rain came back and it's been pouring all day... I can't wait for dry days!

{Engaged: Tony & Kate}

Sunshine and Dates

Today we had... wait for it... SUN! Not a lot and it wasn't super warm but it was still sun. So my honey and I decided to go for a walk and take some fun photos. I'm applying to be a camp counselor this summer and the application requires a couple of current photos of yourself. So after directing Matt and sorting through lots of images I found a few liked. In my case, I haven't taken many recent photos so today was the day. 

I'm knee deep in a newborn session and last weeks engagement so check back tomorrow for those. Hope you enjoyed the beautiful day!

{Engagement: Kate & Tony}

Today I met up with Kate & Tony for a last minute engagement session. This shoot is the last of spring break which means I need to stop denying the pile of homework waiting for me... Anyways!

Kate and Tony are getting married on June 1 and it's going to be such a beautiful wedding from what I heard today! We did a few save the dates photos in the orchards then traveled down to the docks for the rest. They were complete troopers as it was raining most of the time when we were in the orchards and then thank the good Lord it cleared up for a little while! Kate came with lots of ideas that she liked which is quite helpful! I love working with engaged couples- the excitement and love just shines through both people. Can I say this enough- I can't wait for warm weather!!

{One Year Old: Ava}

I met Kara and her beautiful daughter Ava today and we had a wonderful session! The lighting was perfect and Ava had plenty of cute tutus and headbands to wear. It was a laid back afternoon that ended with a cake smash and bath time. I absolutely love working with kids and being down on their level- in fact my whole passion for photography started with kids. It was such a joy working with Ava and capturing her spirit and beautiful smile. Take a look!
